Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2
Hunting game released at a budget price. It features a choice of four locations; Alberta, Colorado, New Mexico and the African plains. There is also a target range option. There are 18 types of prey including big cats, bear, impala, zebra, water buffalos, mountain goats.
You have a limited budget and must begin by booking a trip and then choosing from a comprehensive range of equipment from the Cabela catalogue. On each hunt you have the correct tags that allow you to hunt a certain number of a type of prey. You'll be paid by a sponsor for any successful kills.
At your destination you pick a base camp and hunt location from a map and get the weather forecast. Once at the hunt location, you can rotate your view until you spot an animal. A simple system allows you to tag the animal, choose a weapon and fire. You are not able to move around the area unless you're tracking wounded animals and here the options are limited. The game incorporates video clips of animals in the wild. The game's in-hunt 2D graphics now look pretty dated. A limited number of sound effects, including dialogue clips are included in the game.
