Creatures Adventures
Virtual pets/ puzzle game. This is a simplified version, aimed at kids, of the previous Creatures games. The creatures featured in the game are called 'Norns'. You begin with two eggs that develop into cute creatures, one of each sex. You must cared for them and direct their actions. The creatures can perform a range of actions such as planting seeds and baking bread. You can also dress them up in a selection of outfits. You must also train them in good behavior by using a tickle stick to reward them, or a squirt bottle to punish them.
Creatures come in a variety of colors. If kept healthy your Norns will breed. A nice feature of the game is the fact that the color of the offspring reflects that of the parents, with many possible combinations and results. Each Norn has a life cycle lasting around 10 hours.
The Norns live in an interactive environment. The starting setting is a house with various rooms and a garden. There is also a haunted castle, airship and medical station.
The puzzle element of the game includes sliding block and shooting puzzles.
The game's graphics are effective. The world and creatures are cute and colorful. A range of fitting sound effects and musical tunes accompany play.
