    Description
This series of games first released for the PlayStation, this is the first version for the N64.

The aim of the game is simple; cause as much damage to your competitors whilst keeping your own vehicle going. Success in races is based not on victory alone, but also numbers of points accumulated by causing damage to other cars. The game employs quite blocky 3D graphics. One of the main attractions of the game is that real-time damage is reproduced.

There are several game options to choose from including a championship that allows you to access to new tracks and vehicles. In all 24 cars are Included in the game, with over 12 basic tracks. Among the bonus vehicles is a powerful taxi-cab. Elements such as ramps are included in the track design.

The tracks are mostly road courses with a smaller number of round arenas where the crashing action is even more fast and furious. The road races are organized for maximum destruction - groups of cars are released at points around the track - heading in different directions.

Among the multi-player options, for up to four people, are a capture-the-flag game and a tag game featuring bombs which explode of not passed on to another player within 20 seconds.

A limited commentary provided by an announcer gives information on the state of a competition, such as the number of remaining cars and time. In addition, a range of fitting sound effects and a techno-inspired sound track accompany play.
