NASCAR 2000
Fourth title in this successful series of racing game. It features 33 cars and drivers and 18 tracks of the US Nascar circuit. With speeds up to 180 mph the racing action is fast and furious. Although you can run into your opponents, there are no crashes.
There are a range of game options including championship, single race and multi-player. In championship mode you can participate in practice and qualifying sessions. Of particular note is the option to race head-to-head with one of Nascar's best ever drivers, Richard Petty a.k.a. The King. Race length varies from 15 to some 200 laps.
There is a good range of vehicle set-up options and one of the game's good features is the interactive pits where you can adjust your car mid race or qualifying session.
The game's interface and control system is effective and the handling quite realistic.
The graphics have been improved since the last game in the series. The audio is generally good and a TV-style commentary is included.
