FA Premier League Stars 2001
Soccer game. The game combines on-pitch action with a management component. It features all the teams of the English Premier League, recreating the players and grounds in detail.
As in the previous game in the series, the management element of the game involves the accumulation of 'stars'. Each player has stars (gold, bronze of silver) in ten areas to represent his particular spread of skills. You gain stars by performing well during matches and can then distribute these among your players or save them up to buy new players. The main single-player mode is full season, there is also a good two-player mode.
Important additions to the gameplay are an increase of squad size to 22, the inclusion of the world player transfer market, the presence of a power meter for shots at goal and a wager system that allows you to bet stars on the outcome of matches. The game also incorporates improvements in ball physics, graphics and AI.
