Knockout Kings 2001
Boxing game and sequel to a popular original. It features an extensive selection of authentic boxers. They include great names from the past, such as Rocky Marciano and Muhammad Ali, and from today, such as Lennox Lewis and Michael Grant. Among the new boxers include is a selection of female fighters. You can also create your own characters.
Three classes of fighters and championships will be recreated (light, middle, and heavy weights). Game options include single matches, career mode and two-player versus. A Slugfest mode offers arcade-style action. This sequel has an improved control system for more moves and faster responses. The game's graphics promise to be good, particularly on PlayStation 2 and PC, with significant improvements in the area of character animation. Bouts are accompanied by commentary provided by Al Bernstein and Teddy Atlas (US) or Harry Carpenter and Barry MacGuigan (UK).
