    Description
N64 counterpart to Pokemon Gold, Silver and Crystal on Gameboy. It is compatible with the earlier Red, Blue and Yellow editions. General improvements have been made since the last game. Over 250 Pokemon now feature. The graphics and audio have been refined.

You can battle Pokemon collected in the Gameboy games, as well as transfer and order saved information in the N64 cartridge, and play the Gameboy games on TV.

Game options include Stadium Mode (single-player tournaments), Gym Leader Castle mode (you face the gym owners from the Gameboy games for the chance to a new Pokemon) and Free Battle (defined or random single battles). The multi-player mode supports four people in cooperative or 'deathmatch' battles. There are also 12 mini-games. There is a new game mode called 'My Room', where you collect a range of items by winning battles and then view them in this mode, each Pokemon has their own 'room'.

There is a total of 12 mini-games, including a racing game and a Pokemon spotting and counting game.
