Theme park management and design game. The game has 21 starting scenarios. From here you develop your park, managing an annual budget to spend of the park.
An important part of the game is the designing of roller coaster. There is a lot of detailed information about the science behind the coasters, including all aspects of design and material, the way that it rides etc. Your design decides how successful your coaster is with the paying public, and effects the success of your park as a whole. For instance, if your main ride is too scary it will put off the customers.
The roller coaster is only one of the rides you can design, others include log-flumes and water-slides. There are also wider park design issues, such as the landscaping of your park, that effect your success as a roller coaster tycoon. You also have to make important business decisions, such as how and where to charge your customers.
The game's graphics are generally good.
