The Sims
God sim that places you in charge of individual lives. You can set up a household of your own, defining the appearance and character traits of the residents. You control what the people eat, what the do for a living and how they spend their money and their leisure time. You can also design their houses.
You follow your characters as they go about their lives interacting with the rest of the population of this virtual world. The characters interact via a system of pictorial representations. There is an amazing amount of depth to the game, with characters exhibiting a wide range of behaviors and even emotional responses.
Notably, the game employs good 3D graphics. You view the action inside buildings with their walls cut away.
The interface and menu system are highly effective. Play is accompanied by a range of sound effects, the cartoon-style babble that stands for speech and background music.
