V-Rally 2
Sequel to the
successful Need for Speed: V-Rally. This racing game offers several play options; arcade,
rally championship, V-Rally Trophy and time trial. There is also a multi-player mode for
up to four players to race on a split screen.
One of the game's major strengths is the variations of tracks included in the game. There is
a track editor and random track generator. Varied weather conditions and different times
of day are also incorporated.
The game includes 26 cars in all, the 16 cars that took part in the 1999 rally championship
season and 10 historical cars. The game's physics engine accurately recreates the handling
of each vehicle (except in arcade mode which uses a simplified version).
The game's graphics and sound effects are adequate.
