Warhammer 40,000: Rites of War

Turn-based strategy game based on the Warhammer board games. It employs the Panzer General II game engine.

You choose from single-player campaign mode (with 24 missions), stand-alone missions and a multi-player mode, (for up to four players over LAN). The game also features a scenario editor. In campaign mode, you control a race called the Eldar who must fight for supremacy against the Imperium (humans) and Tyranids (aliens).

Mission victory conditions are varied, adding a good degree of diversity to the gameplay. For instance, one the mission requires the assassination of a single man.

The game is played on a isometric landscape divided into hexes. You can customize your army and upgrade units. There is a good range of different unit types, ranging up to giant robots! Men gain experience as the game progresses. The game has a good graphics and an easy-to-use interface.
