Planescape: Torment
RPG set in a richly detailed and unusual fantasy universe. The game utilizes the Baldur's Gate engine and has an AD&D license, adding depth to the gaming world.
You play a powerful character called The Nameless One, who is immortal. Rather than dying you'll return to the starting point of the game (a mortuary slab!). You first wake up with nothing more than a note, tattooed on your back, to start you off on a wild and often weird adventure. The game boasts a very strong and innovative plot.
You'll encounter numerous well-realized NPCs along the way, some of whom will become part of your group. Such interactions are a key part of the game, as this is the major source of information about who you are/were and what's going on.
The game's interface is effective and the control-system is easy-to-use. The combat system is mostly automated but there are some cool animated sequences to enjoy.
The game boasts excellent graphics and audio.
