Arcatera - The Dark Brotherhood
Adventure/role-playing game in medieval setting based on a traditional pen-and-paper RPG system. The game has an open structure. You control a group of characters who must infiltrate a mysterious brotherhood that is seeking to overthrow the legitimate ruler of your land and you have a time limit in which to complete the task. The four characters in your party are of different classes (including a magician), each with their own skills profile. You also have the option of splitting the party into two groups and issue orders to them independently.
The gameplay consists of exploration, combat and puzzle solving. The game boasts a large game world and cast of NPCs. The interface, control and menu systems are effective. A notable feature of the game is the excellent AI making for challenging enemies and adding replayability value to the game. The game employs a system of pre-rendered locations with well-animated 3D characters and high quality visual effects.
