    Description
RPG/ real-time strategy game set in a fantasy universe.

The game is set within an overall narrative that is developed through sequences interspersing the game. You play a commander, named Lord Wismerhill, who must choose to ally with one of four warring factions. There are some 60 missions incorporated in the game. There is also a mission editor.

In-game, NPCs interact with your character and may join him. There is a strong resource management aspect to the game, and it is necessary to spread your resources to cover areas such as research.

The maim part of the game are the battles. These range in scale and in the later stages many hundreds of units are involved. However, before the battles themselves it is necessary to select your troops and making provision for their training. It is also necessary to develop a battle strategy for each encounter.

During battle Wismerhill controls forces composed of various units, including infantry and archers, by issuing them detailed orders by division. The state of your force at the end of a battle is carried over, so you will have to make fresh recruitments to replace lost troops.

Your character develops with experience, but you must strike a balance between putting him in dangerous situations, where he gains most experience and keeping him safe. When Wismerhill dies the battle is lost, regardless of how the troops do. As in most fantasy universes, combat is not purely conventional and magic comes into play.

There is a multi-player option for battles to the death.

The field of battle is mostly viewed from overhead to monitor the overall situation but it is possible to zoom in for a more detailed picture of unfolding events.

The game's graphics are good and its AI, adequate.
