Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine
Adventure game featuring the well-known movie hero. The game's premise is that Indiana must stop the Russians, who are excavating the Tower of Babal in order to find the Infernal Machine and unleash its terrible powers. Characters and music familiar from the Indy movies are incorporated into the game.
The gameplay combines platform-style exploration with combat and puzzle elements. The puzzles mostly involve collecting objects for combined use or otherwise gaining access to new areas by solving locking mechanisms.
You must guide Indy through a series of large and challenging levels as he tries to secure the four parts of the machine. Viewed from a third-person perspective, he has a wide range of moves at his disposal and his trusty whip is among his eight weapons. There are other items of equipment to be picked up and used along the way. He also has a good range of moves including impressive jumps and the ability to climb. At points he'll ride in various vehicles such as mine carts and rafts. There are also numerous NPCs to interact with and humor is an important component of the game.
The game has a quick-save feature, reducing any frustration factor if you encounter a difficult section.
The game employs good 3D graphics. The audio is of a high standard. The voice-acting is good and atmospheric music accompanies play.
