X-Files: The Game
Adventure game that includes interactive movie and puzzle elements and (briefly)
features Mulder and Scully. Other prominent characters, such as Skinner, the Lone
Gunmen and Cancer Man also appear.
The game's premise is that Fox and Dana have been kidnapped and you must find them.
You play FBI Agent Willmore.
The game is essentially divided into scenes and you move from one to the other, exploring
the rooms or other locations including crime-scenes and the objects therein. The game's
control system involves positioning a cursor on screen and then your character moves in
that direction. Your equipment, such as your badge, mobile phone and gun, is displayed
along the bottom of the screen and you click on them to use. Along the way you'll interact
with other characters. In some cases you can choose the tone of your response, options
are mean, humorous or technical.
The game also employs high-quality FMV that intersperses the levels and advances the
plot.
A large number of speech samples are incorporated into the game. The standard of the
voice-acting is high.
