Bugs Bunny Lost in Time
3D adventure/platform game featuring the famous rabbit.
The game is divided into six main sections each set in a different period from the Stone
Age to the futuristic Planet X. Other periods include the Medieval Period and 1930s.
The game's premise is that Bugs accidentally found his way on board a time machine and
has ended up outside time. He must make his way back to the present, aided by Merlin the
magician, by visiting the different periods and collecting items.
Specifically, you must find clocks (fuel for the time machine) and golden carrots (which
open up levels within periods) that are scattered throughout the game. The game is not
strictly linear in structure since you have a degree of freedom to choose how to use the
carrots and clocks to open levels/periods. The game makes use of cutscenes between
levels to advance the story.
During the game you'll encounter many of the backgrounds, situations and characters
familiar from the Bugs Bunny cartoons. These include his traditional enemies such as
Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd.
Bugs has a wide range of moves at his disposal including a range of jumps and attacks. As
a result the control system takes a little getting used to.
Apart from the traditional platform action, the game also incorporates numerous mini-
games and puzzle elements that add diversity to the gaming. Among these is a race with
Daffy Duck to replace hunting signs to avoid being shot by Elmer Fudd! At points in the
game Bugs rides in various vehicles or even a sheep.
A good feature of the game is the dialogue, there are numerous speech samples that
faithfully recreate the atmosphere of the cartoons. There is also good background music.
The game's 3D graphics are good and the game faithfully recreates the Warner Brothers'
animation.
