Star Wars: Pit Droids
Puzzle game aimed primarily at kids featuring characters from the hit movie the Phantom Menace. The game is introduced by an excellent animation featuring the trader Watto.
The premise of the game is that Watto has acquired a group of pit droids that are stuck on a spaceship orbiting Tatooine. You must guide them safely through eight missions. There are three difficulty levels and a puzzle editor to enhance replayability.
The game takes place on an isometrically viewed landscape with 3D features. The landscape is divided up into squares.
The pit droids come in different varieties, denoted by their color or the tools they have, and can only move in limited ways. You must guide them to the appropriate designated portal to avoid their 'recycling' (destruction). You must also avoid the barriers and pitfalls scattered around the levels. Upon completion to a level there is a good animated sequence.
The game's graphics are good, with smooth 3D graphics in-game and excellent animations. A good range of sound effects and tunes accompany play.
