Rally driving sim. There is great attention to detail in this the game and it seeks to be as realistic as possible.
You can choose between sim and arcade modes. The game has several play options including the full British championship, single races and time-trial. The multi-player option allows two to race on a split-screen, or four by alternate racing and eight over LAN.
There are six rallies incorporated in the game, each of which is divided into six stages. Stages vary in length with several taking longer than 15 minutes. A range of road surfaces and weather conditions add variety to the driving action. There are 23 cars to race ranging from the A5 to A8 class. Each has a full description with relevant information to help you know your vehicle.
Just as in real life, your co-driver shouts instructions to help you find your way quickly and safely around the courses.
The car handling and control are one of the game's main strengths. There is comprehensive car set-up option that allows you to adjust your car to suit a particular track.
The game employs advanced 3D graphics and cars and backgrounds are rendered in great detail. The sound is also good with each car's engine sounding different.
