Snowboarding sim released for PC and Dreamcast.
This game offers high-speed races as well as stunt action. There are several game options available. They are practice, single race, arcade and championship modes. Both racing and stunts-for-points competitions are included. Specifically, there are racing, jumping and pipe competitions. In multi-player mode on the PC up to eight people can play via LAN or on-line
There are nine courses included in the game and these are divided into Alpine. Forest and Village settings. Different times and weather conditions are reproduced. A great feature of the game is that you are not limited to a designated track and can stray off-piste at will. Courses incorporate many obstacles to be avoided. You can choose form numerous riders and boards, each with their own handling characteristics.
The control system is a strength of the game, it is straightforward and effective. There are loads of tricks to master and the physics engine is also good..
The game boasts superb graphics, particularly on a powerful PC. Riders are well animated and backgrounds rendered in great detail. Snow, weather and light effects are particularly good. There is a good selection of sound effects and beat-driven tunes to accompany play.
