This game combines high-speed racing and stunt action for hoverboard riders. It is set in the 23rd Century and the riders, boards and tracks have a futuristic appearance.
There are many play options including Match Races (where you race eight CPUs), Globe Collection Sessions and Globe Switching (races where you must collect globes or change them all to your colour), Hoop Races (where you must pass through all the hoops) and Stunt Sessions (where you accumulate points for stunts). It is also possible to create your own tracks in Custom Race Mode or race against a friend in multi-player mode.
There are 15 tracks and further stunt arenas, nine characters and a variety of boards in the game. You must work through the game to access them all. The characters are divided into three types; Racer, Stunter and Bully. Your choice effects your game strategy. The game also boasts an excellent physics engine that makes for satisfying racing and spectacular stunting.
The tracks cover a variety of settings in the UK, USA and Japan. Each country has 'boss race' where you can win a new board. The design of the game's tracks is particularly good with many alternate routes and short-cuts to be discovered.
The Stunt Sessions consists of 16 challenges. Upon completion of each you'll gain access to a new stunt.
The game employs lavish and detailed graphics and the audio is of a similarly high standard.
