Gauntlet Legends
3D update of the classic adventure game, Gauntlet. Set in a magical fantasy universe you choose to play one of the four characters types in your party at the start of the game. Each one has a distinctive skills profile. Two further characters can be earned later on. Your mission is to make your way across the land of Ataria, in order to reach and destroy the evil boss, Skorne. Along the way you must collect 13 magic stones. Collecting keys, to open new areas, useful spells and other powerups are important aspects of the gameplay. You interact with NPCs during the game. There is a good multi-player mode, up to three other people can join the game, each controlling one of the your party.
The game's large size is one of its strengths. The graphics are generally good, and there are some impressive visual effects. There is a range of fitting sound effects to accompany play, including voice samples. There is also an atmospheric musical sound track, which has a medieval flavor.
