Reach for the Stars
Updated version of this classic turn-based strategy game. It combines good 3D graphics with many other additions to the original, including a multi-player mode. Set in the future, the game's premise is that humans and alien races are competing for domination of the galaxy. Sixteen distinctive races feature in all.
The gameplay consists of resource management, development of technology, tactical combat and diplomacy. Some 300 different types of ship are incorporated. The maps are much larger than in the original game. You define the formation of your ships. The single-player game consists of a campaign of 30 missions. A random mission generator is also included. Up to six players will supported for games via LAN, or four on-line.
