Austin Powers: Operation Trivia
Trivia game featuring the styling of the Austin Powers movies. The game's setting is a life-or-death quiz show at the Electric Pussycat Swingers Club! You can play Austin Powers or Dr. Evil. In single player mode the aim is to improve your hi-score. Alternatively, two people can play by taking turns
Throughout the game there are 60s pop music samples, 60s inspired cut-scenes and psychedelic backgrounds. The questions are varied, including those based on the movies and entertainment, including the Austin Powers movies. As one might expect there is a concentration on questions relating to the 60s.
The questions are structured in four different ways, of which multiple choice is the most common. Others are of the 'first to the buzzer' type or time limited. Crazy chain questions require a series of correct answers to linked questions to gain points.
Each game is limited to nine questions.
The game does not rely heavily on graphics. The gaudy styling is very Austin Powers and the clips entertaining. The voice acting, particularly the impersonation of Myers as Powers, is not that hot. The longevity of the game is questionable.
