The Real Neverending Story

Innovative fantasy adventure game based on the popular novel by Michael Ende that was also turned into a hit movie. The game is due for release towards the end of 2000. It promises to combine a very strong story with an all new graphics engine that will take you seamlessly between indoor and outdoor environments. Gameplay will involve exploration, interaction with characters, puzzle-solving and combat. You'll view the action from a first-person perspective and will be free to move around the lavishly rendered environments. As well as the main story, there will be sub-plots to be discovered. The game will take place mostly in five separate areas within Fantasia. There will also be five surreal dream levels. The gameworld will be populated with hundreds of types of creatures. You'll be able to interact with many NPCs and the game will employ a well-designed dialogue tree and you'll be asked to decide your emotional response to situations, giving the player real scope for reflecting their own in-game experience. Also, the game's many puzzles will incorporate multiple solutions to reflect the different approaches that will be taken by players.
