Far Gate: Race Against Time

Action-oriented, 3D real-time strategy game, formerly known as The Rift. The premise is that you must protect earth and her colonies from invasion by an enemy race, the Nue-guyen. There is a very large and varied game universe, spanning many solar systems with realistic features, such as nebulae. You manage resources and build up a fleet of ships and then lead them into combat. You be able to view the action from third- or first-person perspectives and control the game through a series of well-designed menu screens. The single-player game consists of a series of 30 diverse missions. There is also be a strong multi-player mode for up to 6 people over LAN or on-line.
