Logical Journey of the Zoombinis
|
This kid's puzzle game mixes fun and math/puzzle-solving learning. The premise is that creatures named Zoombinis want to leave their homeland for greener pastures elsewhere. You must guide them in groups of 16 through the barriers that will face them on their journey. There are several a routes to take and each has their own hazards, such as a ferry captain who will only let the Zoombinis in his boat if they sit exactly where he says and follow his instructions. In all, there are some ten style of puzzle that require logical skills and careful control. Varied settings and many humorous touches feature. Good animated sequences intersperse the puzzles. When you get each group of Zoombinis to their new homeland you are rewarded with a new building there. There are four difficulty levels that add replayability to the game. The game's cartoon-style graphics and control system are effective. A selection of voice samples sound effects and upbeat music accompanies play.
