Turn-based strategy game for exclusively on-line play. You choose from 14 races and begin the game with control of a single planet. Each game lasts at least a couple of weeks, with one or two turns per day, and hundreds of gamers may be involved. You manage your resources and develop technology in order to build up your empire. Battles and diplomacy play an major part. Battles are worked out by the computer when two forces meet. Diplomacy can be conducted via the e-mail system. The game's controls and interface are effective. The graphics are fairly basic, but it is the gameplay rather than the graphics, that is the game's major strength.
