IL-2 Sturmovik
|
WW2 combat flight sim featuring the Russian Illyuschin-2 aircraft, together with 16 other playable planes of US, German and Russian origin. Another 24 non-flyable aircraft also appear. The single-player game consists of six historically-based campaigns set between 1941 and 1945. You take the role of the pilot when flying all the aircraft, except the IL-2 Sturmovik, for which you can choose between to play the rear-gunner. Mission types include dogfights and escort missions. There is also a mission editor. The multi-player option has two game types' dogfight and allied (co-operative) mode. Up to 32 players can compete in dogfight mode and up to 16 players in allied mode.
